PERMANENT RECRUITMENTIf you have a permanent vacancy for technical staff, we are able to undertake a search for suitable candidates. It is important to note that no fee is incurred unless you decide to offer a position to one of our candidates. Please contact us with details of your vacancy, and we will be happy to advise you on the availability of suitable candidates. RETAINED SEARCHESFor clients wishing to avoid the problems associated with multiple recruitment suppliers, Jarvis Bentley is happy to undertake specific vacancies on an exclusive basis. This approach affords many advantages. Working on a retained basis, we are able to tailor our selection procedures closely to the client's requirements in order to ensure that the most appropriate candidate possible will be selected. The client will also appreciate the opportunity to maintain a sole point of contact for the vacancy, eliminating unnecessary duplication and unwanted telephone calls from different suppliers. A retained search is also preferential for clients wishing to avoid unnecessary publicity in filling a given vacancy. The retained search is generally performed to an agreed time-scale, with deadlines being set for presentation of a short-list of candidates, first and second interviews, and completion. A proportion of the agreed fee is payable at each of these stages. CONTRACT RECRUITMENTJarvis Bentley is also able to provide technical staff on short-, medium- or long-term contract. Jarvis Bentley will take all the headache out of employing staff if you employ staff from us on a temporary/contract basis. Based on a signed time sheet from you for the contractor detailing the hours worked for the week, we do the wages for the contractor, calculating their tax and insurance and pay them one week in arrears into their bank account. We pay holiday pay and keep records of the holiday due. We will invoice you on a weekly basis on the hours worked for each employee + VAT. We pay the taxes and National Insurance on a weekly basis. Temporary/Contract offers you a much better way of assessing a possible permanent appointment than an interview situation. It is also valuable if your business operates by obtaining contracts for fixed periods. Also in an uncertain economic climate, when you are unsure which way the market is going, its is the best way of employing staff. You can take a contractor on your books offering them a permanent position at any time, on payment of a placement fee to Jarvis Bentley. Under these circumstances we reduce our permanent placement rate according to the length of time the contractor has been with you.
