| Description: | OPERATIONS MANAGER This is an opportunity to join a successful manufacturing company situated on the South Coast in Sussex. It will offer you a challenging and interesting role in the production team . Reporting to the MD, you will have a team consisting amongst others of the Manufacturing Engineer, a Procurement Engineer, Buyer and Works Foreman. Yours will be the task of developing the Company’s strategy in association with this team. You will be responsible for achieving: excellent customer service, production targets, efficient purchasing and the smooth running of the factory including cost reduction and improvements to the manufacturing process.. You should have as a minimum qualification an HNC or equivalent in mechanical engineering. You will ideally have had craft training, e.g. an apprenticeship. You will have had experience of implementing modern lean manufacturing systems, cost reductions and service improvements. You should have had at least two years supervisory experience managing in excess of twenty direct personnel and having professionally qualified personnel. reporting to you. You should be PC literate with experience in the operation of manufacturing programs. |
