| Description: | DESIGN ENGINEER Our client is looking to recruit a MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER qualified to HNC or above You would need to have a good understanding of what happens to structural members under load i.e.have FEA experience. If you are a recent graduate you would need at least two years experience of designing relevant products. The Design Engineer will be required to discuss customer specifications with them and understand their requirements. The design incorporates the product itself, mould and assembly tooling, design calculations, service life-time calculations, stress analysis and FEA. Autocad and Autodesk Inventor are used for 2D and 3D design and Ansys is used for FEA. The designer will also use spreadsheets for calculations and needs to be familiar with Word for technical reports. Some familiarity with computerised product data management (bills of materials and routings) will be an advantage. The Design Engineer will need to work closely with the two other Design Engineers and the Design Manager and also with the commercial and operations teams within the company, working in a friendly working environment with a team committed to achieving the Company’s goals of being first in our field and providing an excellent service to our customers. |
