| Description: | MANUFACTURING ENGINEER Our client is a successful engineering company designing and manufacturing rubber to metal bonded products and suspension systems for trains, commercial vehicles, wind turbines and high voltage electrical insulators. They are certified ISO 9001 and are a leading supplier to a range of blue chip customers. The company has a strong and growing order book and is well placed to take advantage of continued growth in its niche markets. . They are located at an attractive location on the coast in West Sussex. Reporting to the Operations Manager the main function of this position is to ensure that the company’s production operations are conducted in an efficient and cost effective manner. You will be involved with process, quality and workflow improvements. They are looking for someone with: • A minimum 3 years experience as a manufacturing or production engineer in a mechanical engineering environment or similar. • Experience of introducing lean manufacturing techniques. • A track record in implementing production improvements with measurable benefits. • Practical engineering workshop experience. . • ONC/HNC or equivalent in production or mechanical engineering or similar. • IT literate and familiar with manufacturing computer systems. • Work closely with the Quality Manager.
