| Description: | IT Support Engineer Department: Business Systems & I.T. Our client is a large ethical company with a very interesting business. The position is based on the South Coast close to the sea. They are now looking for someone to give them six months IT support on a fixed term contract. There could be future prospects but not guaranteed. Job Summary: Responsible for the maintenance of all I.T. systems of the Company. Maintaining and supporting all existing hardware and software utilised by the business either directly or in conjunction with appropriately appointed agents. Responsible for telephone systems, EPDQ equipment and other hardware systems as directed by the company. Support the current IT team in the migration to new ERP platform and integration into new systems. Main Tasks: Ensuring the smooth running of the company I.T. systems. Fault finding, diagnosing and correcting issues with the company systems either directly or with the assistance of third parties in a timely manner. Telephone system maintenance. Procurement of I.T. equipment and consumables as required. Deputising for the Sales Office web controller as necessary. To ensure software upgrades are installed as necessary. Documentation of existing and new systems as required. Training staff in IT applications/procedures when necessary Skills Required: Knowledge of server hardware and backup procedures. MS Server adminstration skills. Microsoft Office support skills Printer and PC set up configurations |
