| Description: | IT Support Engineer Department: Business Systems & I.T. This position offers you a secure permanent position in a large established company on the South Coast close to the sea. They have comprehensive computer systems to control and run their manufacturing business provided by several servers and over 100 terminals. This is a hands on position. Job Summary: Assisting the manager of the IT department. Providing I.T. systems support making improvements where necessary. Maintaining and supporting all existing hardware and software utilised by the business either directly or in conjunction with appropriately appointed agents. Involved with the reporting systems from database information. Main Tasks: Ensuring the smooth running of the company I.T. systems. Fault finding, diagnosing and correcting issues with the company systems either directly or with the assistance of third parties in a timely manner. To ensure software upgrades are installed as necessary. Training staff in IT applications/procedures when necessary Skills Required: Knowledge of server hardware and backup procedures. MS Server adminstration skills. Microsoft Office support skills Printer and PC set up configurations Software Supported Sage ERP Microsoft Office Databases Additional skills that would be useful, Report writing using Crystal Visual Basic - VB/VB2005 Server support DC. Exchange, file server, sharepoint. |
